Job Responsibilities:

  • Play a key part in the design of software solutions in a complex IT estate.
  • Help build, lead and retain a multi-disciplined team delivering enterprise-scale technology.
  • Manage a team of software engineers, ensuring appropriate training, support and personal development.
  • Set up Agile Development teams and ensure appropriate monitoring and reporting is available on progress.
  • Apply architectural and engineering concepts to implement solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Help design technical architectures using standard tools and techniques.
  • Help to identify new technologies to adopt and take responsibility for the delivery of software solutions.
  • Manager supplier solutions and staff to ensure compliance with requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience of leading developers. Line management experience is not essential, but project leadership and mentorship is required as a minimum.
  • In-depth and up-to-date experience with C#/.Net development and a deep understanding of best practices in this area.
  • Experience of developing and building applications and services within an Azure production environment (ideally PaaS). AWS or GCP is also acceptable.
  • Ability to develop extensible, testable and maintainable code.
  • Skilled in both server side and client side technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering high volume, low latency distributed software solutions.
  • Previous experience of working within a variety of development methodologies e.g. Agile/Waterfall.
  • Experience in solution delivery and a deep understanding of the SDLC.
  • Experience with React, Xaramin, Drupal is desirable but not essential.
